A Bit About Me
Hi, I’m Victoria - your partner in healing!
Here at Thrive Urban Wellness, I hold roles as both a Registered Social Worker and a Registered Psychotherapist (Q), recognized by the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, as well as the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. My journey into this field began in 2015, driven by a deep commitment to supporting individuals from all walks of life.
In a world that is constantly on the move, where the pace is often set to "go, go, go," we rarely carve out time to truly hold space for ourselves. Stepping into therapy can feel like diving into the unknown, but let me share a little secret—it's in that unknown where the magic happens. It is also the starting point of self-discovery, where you begin to honor your own needs and cultivate a deeper connection with yourself.
Specializing in trauma-informed care, I've had the privilege to support individuals across a diverse range of populations and professions, through challenges such as abuse, trauma, complex family dynamics, life transitions, and difficulties with establishing a sense of self. With each person I meet, I am reminded of the depth of human resilience and highlights the unique path of healing we are all on.
My passion for holistic healing influences my integrative therapeutic approach tailored to your unique needs. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Family Systems, Attachment-Based, Narrative, Relational, and Somatic Therapy. When appropriate, I draw from alternative methods like Breathwork, EFT Tapping, and Reiki, recognizing the interconnectedness of the mind, body, and soul.
In our sacred space of therapy, my aim is to co-create a nurturing environment where you can freely explore your past, present, and unique strengths in sessions tailored just for you. I am here to support you in reclaiming your agency as the expert of your own life's narrative, gently guiding you towards self-discovery and healing.
